Exactly, bug.
If this is such a serious illness, they have to cancel flights because they found the vector that carries it on the plane......

To make matters worse United allows dogs, cats, birds to travel with them as carry on baggage. That means someone else's pet can be sitting in a pet carrier right under your own seat.
And they were wondering where those ticks might have come from. Gee whiz.
From the United Airlines "Traveling With Pets" webpage:
Traveling with pets Your dog, cat or household bird (canary, finch or parakeet) may be accepted as carry on or checked baggage. Rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs may be accepted as checked baggage only. All options require advance reservations and are subject to a charge.
