so im feeling really down again. Doctor has me on plaquenil 2x a day, 400 mg doryx, levaquin, malarone and art. I havent even started the malarone and art yet cause im feeling so crappy off of the other 3 abx. Do you think I should take it anyway or just keep waiting. I dont know what to do. Im so scared of all this medicine. It seems like too much

Hi Trish,

So sorry that you are feeling badly. That does seem like a lot of meds...hopefully, you are seeing a good doc who knows what they are doing.

Are you treating Lyme, Bart AND Babs at the same time? Lev is usually a Bart med and Malarone is for Babs...so I wonder what your plan is?

I would suggest that you speak with your doc about this and also about adding only one new med at a time. That way, you will know what is causing a problem IF one occurs, OK?

My Dr. just adds one med at a time. Take one for 3 or 4 days then add another. If you take them all at the same time you don't know which drug is causing the problem, if there is a problem.
