I just got some labs back and am looking through them. Is there any link of Parvovirus B19 to Lyme?
My head is spinning over here....

This could be antibodies from past infection. I had this test done as well and I had antibodies come back, but it was from a past infection. Many people get this when they are young/kids.

I first tested positive for Parvo Virus B-19, and was told that it could take 1 - 1.5 years to clear up. The pain was moving from my neck to one hand which became a claw, around my body and into the bottom of my feet.
I toughed it out for 1 year and was then tested for RA because of the continued swelling. RA factor very high, sed rate very high. I was now told that I had adult onset RA. Put on all types of RA meds, with Embrel injections being the only thing that took the pain awsy. Then I started having neuro problems.
Finally tested positive for Lyme and Babesia (Igenex test). Started treatment with oral abx and after 5 months all pain went awsy.
I believe that I did have Parvo Virus B-19 (positive test), but I also believe that this is what caused my body to no longer be able to fight the Lyme, etc., sending the lyme and babesia on a party from hell.
Bottom Line. Get tested for Lyme and all co-infections through Ignex and if you are positive , don't wait for treatment.
I have now been treated for 4+ years and am about 96% of normal. However, I still have slight pain somewhere every day. Not bad I can do most anything, but if I had been treated for Lyme earlier, perhaps I would not have this lasting inflamation.

Apparently Parvovirus B 19 is one of those things most people are exposed to at some point in their lives. It looks like it could be either an opportunisitic infection which causes more severe symptoms if your immune system is weakened by something else such as Lyme etc.
or I think it is possible to have a low grade chronic infection
or for the infection to be reactivated like what happens with Shingles (residual Chicken Pox virus dormant in the body).
I too believe, to quote one poster, that the Parvo/EBV and HHV6 are helping the Lyme to party in my body.
That is what I was told by my LLMD, before I knew I had Parvo.
It just seems to me that many people with Lyme have EBV and/or HHV6. I know Lyme doesn't cause those and some other viruses, but I think they help them continue to exist and beat us up.
