Time is of the essence! We must help Dr. Jones meet the deadline for raising $90,000 for his legal defense by Monday, July 15, and go on from there to establish a retainer that will guarantee his legal defense! Everyone can help - no size donation is too small! If we can demonstrate that money is coming in, they may be more inclined to extend the deadline.
What comes in by Monday and Tuesday may determine the fate of Dr. J's legal defense!
DID YOU KNOW: Dr. Jones estimates that nearly 3,000 children with new cases of Lyme disease have been able to be treated by him over the last 5 years, since charges were first brought against him by the Connecticut Department of Public Health. If he had decided not to fight those charges, these children may well not have been able to find treatment for their Lyme disease!
We'd all prefer to see this money going to research and treatment, but treatment options will dry up if our Lyme docs fear unchecked reprisal for the way that they treat. It is essential that we in the Lyme community hold the line and maintain a strong and united front on this issue - otherwise, the powers that be will feel that they have free reign to go after more and more physicians who are treating Lyme disease comprehensively and according to their conscience.
BREAKING NEWS: We have just learned from Pullman & Comley that literally dozens of checks have been coming in since the start of this campaign!!! Great team work! Please keep up the momentum so that we will succeed in our efforts to preserve Dr. Jones' legal defense.
Please Note: We have asked the law firm if it is possible for them to set up a new PayPal account to facilitate donations (information and instructions for the former one is outdated now), but don't know yet if this will be possible. In the meantime, we are encouraging folks to use the snail mail address below to send donations, because time is so very critical right now. HOW TO DONATE TO THE LEGAL DEFENSE FUND:
Make Donations payable to: " Pullman & Comley Trust Account-for Dr. Charles Jones" Mail to: Elliott Pollack c/o Pullman & Comley, LLC 90 State House Square Hartford, CT 06103-3702
Note "gift" in the memo field

This has been going on for years-why hasn't a retainer already been established? And how much aditional funds will that cost ?
Did he just get a bill saying you owe $90,000 by the 14th or we will stop representing you?
I would like to add that I have met Dr. Jones in person and was honored to shake his hand. He is a dear dear man. I do not understand the flurry of this last minute deadline or else stand.
