Sorry so many questions. I have been batteling this for so many years, like most of us in here. I knew something else was making me sick and was NOT giving up!

At any rate, I started my once daily Zithromax last Friday. Yesterday I noticed a small red area about the size of a dime just below my wrist bone. It's not a bruise.

Then this morning I have TERRIBLE burning chest pain and pain deep within my ears. As if the tinitis isn't bad enough. [dizzy]

Has anyone else had this deep burning chest pain with their Herx? I also feel it deep inside as if it's aching. [Frown]

I have had the chest burning sensation for about a year. I think it is finally gone. 2 months and no chest pain. I hope it will continue, it was very uncomfortable.

YEs it is herx...you need to DETOX....bart and lyme are in your chest ..adn you will herx for a very long time..

IT took me ( with tons of things ) to get rid of it.Finally my chest does not hurt anymore..

I was chocking and gasping for air... it burned like hell also like you have GERD( so bart) like I had a truck over my chest ....and was afraid to breath as I thought my my lungs will shut down...and the more I used to breath and deeply the more pain I felt..

The worst one episode lasted 24 hrs and I did not got to ER anymore, i knew was a herxed and backed off from my medications...until it will pass...

I felt like somebody was strangling me at my neck and I could not even say -HELP I AM DYING !
HORRIBLE...feeling and ER would say -YOU HAVE JUST an anxiety ....

So no more in ER....just slowed down on thigs...and ramped up slowly ...go with your gut...you will learn soon to understadn what a HERX is...TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the pain more in the center of your chest? Does it hurt when you press on the sternum bone? If so, it could be costochondritis. This is an infalammation where the ribs attach to the sternum. A fairly common Lyme symptom -- hubby had this once and went to the ER to make sure it was not really pain from his heart.

It's in the upper chest. What would be consisered the upper respiratory. Or just below. It is a deep burning. It feels like a cynder block is sitting on it.

Then at times it is hard for me to catch my breath. The other day while I had my water sitting next to the sink, I was brushing my teeth. I leaned over and I felt this aweful nasty metalic taste in the back of my throat.

It was making me gag. I was trying to spit it up. I know that sounds aweful but I just wanted it out! [Roll Eyes] There are times when I feel like my throat is closing off. My voice is horse and my throat hurts. It has been doing that on and off for a number of years now though.
