hey everyone my name is Matt and I am brand new and just registered tonight and was just wondering if it is even appropriate that I start a general topic and post my ongoing symptoms/story and see if you guys think I may be on the right track or if certain things just don't add up from everyone's experience with reading stories or your own stories.

Starting about 2.5 years ago when I turned 20 I started getting all these weird symptoms starting with weight loss and fatigue. A few months later almost suddenly I was sooo sensitive to everything - like any facial cleanser/product I used to use throughout high school was way tooo strong. I have seasonal allergies and would usually take an OCT allergy pill everyday from spring to summer and not even no I'm taking it, but when the sensitivity symptoms started I would take a half a pill and experience all the side effects after the first pill. I am also very sensitive to lighting now, whether it be my eyes get sore and feel like they are burning and the my skin will even get this reddy rash.
- After all my life of perfect vision I needed a decently strong prescription for eyeglasses
- I started getting stomach pains/nausea and I had a stomach scope done and it showed severe esophagitis and gastritis.
- Definitely depressed now but have a stable cortisol level so not overly stressed
- Have random muscle twitches and joint pain espcially in the mornings and later at night
- Mind farts where I forget what I was talking about and whatnot
- Also, I am a dark Italian and now I'm very sensitive to the sun where even if I'm driving and the sun is coming through the window on my arm, my arm will be red when I get home from work or after about a 20 minute drive
- with that though I can't where sunscreen b/c how I said my skin is so sensitive that I get a weird reaction when I put it on
- constipation
- mild headaches from time to time
- definite shortness of breath after any sort of activity (even walking up the stairs)
- abdominal ultrasound showed enlarged spleen at 14cm in length and i am only 5'10.5 at 145lbs
- tender and more swollen than not lymph nodes
- all general blood work is always normal though so thats why I'm second guessing anything???

- most of these symptoms come and go except for the new light/sun/chemical/drug sensitivity that has been 100% there from the beginning

- its just becoming such a pain and things seem to be relentless. I'm on 4 medications right now and have been for 6 months and nothing seems to be letting up (i'm on Pantoloc (stomach), Nalcrom (allergies), Paxil (aniexty/depression), and just a prescription corticosteroid for my random rashes)
- I'm just getting tired of constantly treating all these different things that I think are related and could be caused by something

- they only time I remember getting bite by something was 6 years ago (I've heard Lyme disease can lay low for however long, or even just have always been there and just keeps getting worse over many years if untreated) I was camping and on my way home right before I got in the car I got bit by something smacked it off and then my face started swelling and my friend had to use her epi-pen on me (my allergist couldn't figure out why i swelled up since I wasn't allergic to anything that he tested)

woah sorry this has become a long message and hopefully you guys can lemme know ur thoughts
even email me if u want [email protected]

thanks,
matt

Hi Matt, welcome to Lymenet.

It could be Lyme. You have a lot of symptoms that could come from Lyme Disease.

The best thing to do would be to post under seeking doctors to find a Lyme literate physician near you.

It is very frustrating when doctors continue to be puzzled. [Frown]
