What disease causes heart palpatations? I used to just get them at night. Now I get them all day long. I have lyme, babesia, and mycoplasma. I am treating lyme and babesia right now.
Are the palpatations dangerous? Or are they a harmless annoyance?

Lyme. I read that people who get Lyme from the east coast get the heart palps a lot but that those who get lyme from the west coast don't seem to have that problem as much.
I have been to cardiologistsand had all manner of tests run. Everything fine.
My heart palps and racing heart went away with abx treatment... but I ran out for 10 days and it came right back.

Ok, I was bit just a few minutes outside of Lyme, CT. Maybe that explains it. I hope they go away. I have to admit it bothers me, that my heart is always doing this. Scary.

Mine were from a magnesium deficiency from Lyme. They went away within about 20 minutes when I took one or two magnesium capsules. I don't get them anymore, but I take magnesium regularly.

Inflammation or infection of the heart, vagus nerve, brain centers that control heart-rate, as well as dificiency of nutrition, like potassion, magnesium, and a host of others.
When it comes to Lyme, it's hard to tell, but if the symptoms wax and wane with all your other symptoms, it's safe to say it's likely infection oriented.

that was my worst symptom. i have lyme, babs, myco, and rmsf... improved fairly quickly with abx and supplements. i still get it here n there but now i am not worried about it. watch out for too much aerobic exercise in the beginning and metallic blue is dead on with the bugs targeting the nervous system. if the vagus nerve gets inflamed due to the bugs infecting it, the heartrate will be affected. and the bugs target teh nerves.

Bejoy makes a good point.
You can take supplemental magnesium to help the cardiac irregularities.

I have had palps and hormonal discombobulation with Lyme.
I think heart symptoms may at times tie into the hormonal issues Lyme causes...

Hawthorn is wonderful for the heart, in addition to magnesium, calcium and zinc.
I'd offer more about hawthorn as I love it, but I'm out of steam for the moment.

I had heard skips/palps/and what seemed like a skipped beat.
Since I've started ABx they've really decreased and when I have one it isn't as 'hard'. It is abbreviated and minor.
They used to be so hard of a stutter that I'd cough or sit up in bed, now MOST of them are just minor and 'under the chest' and contained or feel under control if that makes any sense.
There are people that have these that are completely healthy, they have many per minute, and most doctors tell you its not life threatening in a healthy heart.

AFter 6 years of babs treatment, and lyme treatment, with severe heart issues, I have discovered through cause and effect, and that is a very long story, that babs causes irregular heart beats. I think this is partly because babs causes clotting, even on the tiniest level.
This is what Dr. P in CT referred to once as "things getting sticky [in the heart] in there."
Once, a huge shot of blood thinners in the hospital completely stopped terrorizing irregular heart beats that had been going on for two years.
Of course, the duck in the hospital told me that the irregular heart beats being treated by blood thinners was all in my head, and that I should see my psychologist for treatment. She actually said that to me.
When she left the room, I started trying to pry the devotion of the interns from her.
When I left the hospital, I asked her for my records, and she was angry because she already gave me a diagnosis, and I wanted another opinion.
I'm getting off track. You know how it is when you start to "vent."

Only east coast Lymies get heart palpitations?
Wow. I would pay attention to what is happening with the dying bats in the northeast then. I am convinced that whatever is happening with these bats is happening to me - I'm just waiting for the powdery white fungus to start appearing around my nose.
Can't help but notice how the bat-die off seems to geographically parallel how Lyme started:
I think exposure to EMF/RF is involved though. I've even been trying to compare population maps to the bat die-off (the higher the population, the more cell phone towers/users? rural areas have higher powered towers?), but I'm having trouble finding a recent map. Here is a population density map NY though:

my llmd told me yesterday that it is mostly caused by lyme as opposed to babesia.
he said over 75% of his lyme patients have it and it is nothing to worry about.
i was also concerned about cholestorol increase now that i am on a higher fat intake (mepron), and was thinking that my blood is thicker and all. he said not to worry about it at all.
there are people who had bad heart palps/tachycardia, and eventually got better via abx/herbs and are literally runners, back to running on the roads again.
