I recently finished one year of treatment--oral antibiotics (also, supplements, diet, and exercise). Unfortunately, I haven't experienced any progress.

I have been diagnosed with Lyme and Babesia. (Treated Babesia for three months).

My most significant symptoms are: left elbow pain (centered right on the tip of the bone closest to my body--not the joint itself, so much), left eye ache/left temple tingling/numbness, tingling on the left side of my back and occasional tingling and muscle twitching in my feet.

Other symptoms come and go: dizziness, stomach ache, fatigue, night sweats and aching knees. I have not experienced most of these symptoms in quite a while.

I am currently treating parasites for the first time. I'm also chelating heavy metals (had amalgams removed about eight months ago).

My next step, however, is unclear to me. My LLMD has recommended IV antibiotics--she thinks maybe three months since my symptoms are not too severe.

Any thoughts on the above symptoms? Is IV worth a try?

You have bart no question..AND as long as you do not treat bart you will not get better .THAT IS number #1 thing.Ironicly you will not be able to find a positive test , If you are lucky you can but they are above 200 strains of bart.BUT you still need to treat it.

Try rifampin , DOXY and azithromax and see what happens...
Second -babesia 3 months is not enough.

YOu need to get on a protokoll that covers them all.

MY ADVISE TO YOU ....YOU HAVE BART NO QUESTION!

Three months may not have been enough for the babs ... in fact, if you are still having night sweats, it was not enough.

I have been treating babs for 18 months .... I would say go back to babs treatment with your Lyme treatment.

With the tingling/neuro involvement, IV might be the right thing to do .... but don't ignore the babs if you're still having sweats.

Thanks for the responses. I've treated (at one time) with Doxy and Rifampin and later with Zith and Mepron.

Althought there doesn't seem to be a "standard procedure", I am wondering if it makes sense to move on to IV antibiotics at this point.
