Hello everyone, I thought I read some where that it makes a difference where you get the Western Blot done. Can anyone recommend a lab. Quest and Lab Corp. are the most common here in Pittsburgh.

Are you using Igenex? Dr. S. in San Francisco has his patients get their blood draw done at Lab Corp. for their Igenex testing.

I would recommend IGeneX, Inc in Palo Alto, CA. Their # is: 1-800-832-3200.

When I was originally tested for Lyme over a year ago through one of the labs you mentioned, it came out negative. Just last week retested at IGeneX (specializes in Lyme testing) and came out WAY positive. I have been suffering needlessly for over a year because I had a false reading from my test from the other labs.

For Tick-born illness Testing, you're wasting your time with anything less than Igenex.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't think I will be able to afford the test for me and my whole family. Any other suggestions?

I know Igenex is costly. I might have heard they do have family rates too. Call and ask.

Lyme doctors here use Igenex, but if they don't draw the blood at the office, I'm know they send patients to Labcorp since I guess they do a lot of blood draws for Igenex.

If you try to get a regular lab to run it, they will only want to send it to their local hospital or whatever and you will get no where.

I got a positive from Labcorp. I was shocked. I was just about to go to Igenex...because my first one came back one band short of being CDC positive. The 2nd one sealed the deal for me. Saved me lots of money. I go to an LLMD on Tuesday. THANK GOD.
