I've had lots of questions about symptoms recently... Has anyone else had one-sided arm/leg weakness? Mine was always my right side. Since beginning treatment with Zith, Rifampin, and Bicillin, it's moved to my left. Not enough weakness for others to notice but enough to bother me. I hurt all of the time...

Shelly :-)

skrwolf: This is totally normal with Tick Borne Illness'. Mine was always the left side but others have it where it shifts sides.

When you attack the buggers they scurry about inside your body to hide from the abx so they'll go anywhere. Somedays they will be in your arm, your thigh, then other days your neck, wrist or even a pinky finger!

It's a scary feeling but Lyme & Co is consistently inconsistent so if you just try and "ride the wave" it will help your anxiety when you have new maladies daily.

The good news is, they're SCARED and YOU'RE killing them.

Hang in there and know it's normal!

A nice hot epsom salt bath might help and drink lots of water with fresh squeezed lemon.

Best,

You nailed it CLARISSA!

Myself had always had symtoms on the right.

Very weird yeasterday I had a sharp pain on my left calf...and some twitching.

Any time I swithc the medication or rotate things ..it stirrs them up and it reaches them and they try to do their best to hide any where they can even in my 2nd finger that I use mostly to type on my right hand.Never had that symtom before.

my left side was not weak, it was achy and nervy and hurt like crazy, and that is where most of the muscle twitches were at. I thought it was ALS but it was not a Nuero disease.

Yes, my right side head to toe along w/right eye twitching. I could go into detail from head to toe on my right about how each thing feels but I won't unless you want me to. I do have right arm and leg weakness and they don't want to work right.

Laura - I'd love to hear more if you don't mind. I've read some of your threads and your symptoms sound so familiar. If you want to PM me instead of posting, that's fine. Thanks!

My left side has always been the weak side during my year with this illness. Sometimes my legs would seem to trade off as to who was the weak link.

Currently I lean to the left when walking (limping)
I need to touch every wall to feel stable. My left arm has slowed down since starting Bicillin 2 months ago.

Have you seen a Neuromuscular specialist for evaluation? (EMG/Nerve conduction studies, and other autonomic and muscular testing). It might determine the cause & if it is treatable.

Take care.
