Well, when I called my LLMD when my 18 year old had the same thing happen, the PA said they would treat if he were a patient of theirs. She listed several ways they would treat it, and of course, I had one of the drugs in my stash.
I ended up giving son Amoxy. I don't know what the dosage is for a 3 year old.
My son never ended up showing any symptoms and seems fine today.
My opinion is better safe than sorry.
At least use your Lightworks on him.

paul, oh no!
i'd call your llmd's office and get their advise; amoxy is correct med.
see dr. burrascano's ILADS guidelines for more info, think page no. 17...
My herbalist said that a compress of marshmallow root will draw the toxins out. I would treat of course. I don't think it is a matter of how long the tick was on, as much as what the tic was carrying.

Paul - sorry I just now saw this. Do you still have the tick? I would treat him as a precaution and send the tick to Igenex if you still have it.
Glad you caught it right away.
My son who is older, had a tick on him for a few hours, maybe longer. We removed it and put him on doxy for several weeks just to be sure.

nana,
read you put your child on DOXY...THAT'S A NO NO!!
AMOXY ONLY is what dr. burrascano recommends in his 05 ILADS lyme guidelines!!
