I started using Solaray Grapefruit seed extract yesterday.

I thought it would be like any other tincture - liquid. This is very thick. Is it supposed to be??

It also has an extremely strong taste.

Just want to make sure I don't have a bad batch or something.

Thanks

Nope, that's normal. It sounds like their brand is nearly identical to Nutribiotics in that respect. I'm actually wondering if it's possible to put this into pill form. If we could fill some capsules. The stuff is so ungodly bitter that I don't know how easily it'll be for most people to consume it.

At any rate, yes that't normal. It's almost like a nectar-esq clearish glue.

Sounds exactly like what I have. A little hard to get down but pretty powerful I think.

Thanks for sharing.

How are you taking it? I'm mixing mine in a tall glass of water and it tastes very mild. Mine is thick and bitter also.

Since most tinctures say to put in a small amount of water, that's what I did yesterday [Eek!]

Today I put it in large glass of water. Much better but still strong.

GSE is available in pill form but it's much easier to control the dosage in liquid. I think the Solaray is a little thicker than the NutriBiotics brand.

We mix ours in Tropicana Paradise Blend juice & the taste somewhat blends in.

Powerful stuff. Apparently, the Citricidal brand is even more powerful although I haven't tried it yet. I'm just trying to investigate if I can get it in my area. Would love to hear from anyone who has tried it.

I've taken Nutribiotic GSE and now I am taking Citricidal GSE which is more powerful. The Citricidal has 25 mg of GSE compared to 10 mg of Nutribiotc. I take 10 drops twice per day ( obviously worked up over the course of several weeks). I bought some empty '00' capsules ( '0' would also do nicely )and fill my dose daily. You will not taste the GSE at all. Just be sure to drink enough water with it. Also, if you go this route, you can't pre-fill too many capsules as after a couple of days the GSE starts eating through the gelatin. Hope this helps.
