OK, so I keep having INCREDIBLE herxes from even the tiniest doses of ANY antibiotic, and I have been off all yeast meds for a while. I have been on a gluten-free diet since May hoping that this would help my systemic yeast issues.

I was on Nystatin up until April or so, and I have tried to take even tiny amounts of Diflucan and they put me in bed.

I have decided to go back on the Nystatin; this is day 5........I have felt like H*LL and slept 32 hours since Sunday evening, so I am guessing that the yeast has overtaken again.......LOVELY. I am only taking 1 pill a day right now, and I am hurting really bad and am having extreme fatigue.

I am drinking lemon water, taking charcoal, and I did do a salt bath this morning. Any other suggestions on how to get through this right now?

I do NOT want to quit taking it, because it is very apparent to me that this has been part of the problem AGAIN and is at least partly responsible for me backsliding the last few months.......

You could try those detoxing herbs from Nutramedix. Parsley Extract and Burbur. You just may be way to toxic for the time. As for Yeast try Cumanda. You can work your way up to the 30 drop dose they recommend for yeast. You can do searches here on all those herbs many people use them including myself.

Current taking: Bactrim DS 3x Daily, Doxy 400mg 1x Daily, Rifampin 450mg (ramping up to 600mg) 1x Daily, Compounded Nystatin 150MU Caps 1x Daily, Plus supplements to come later.

Tif,

Toxins are exactly what I would focus on. Does your doctor practice any form of detox? If not, find a doctor who is trained in integrative medicine. They will know how to detox and bring the body back into balance.

It sounds like you need this really badly.

Here is a good website to find such a doctor. I would use this doctor in addition to your LLMD, not in place of.

www.acam.org

This is an organization of physicians who have advanced their education. It has a feature called "Find a Physician"

Hope you don't mind me asking a question on your thread. Just wondering if there is any good testing for yeast or candida?

Read about someone else that said they have a rare strain of candida. How is this determined?

The most important thing to do is be careful with your diet.

Also... Maybe review DR Brewer's 5 step plan to eliminate candida??

Hope this helps!!!! [Smile]
