Hello,
I've posted here before but it's been a few weeks, I have some questions and I hope someone can help me here.

(In my previous post I think I explained my story, but I was told to add this info:
I was tested but not treated a year ago, my results IgG:

23+
39+
41+
45+

IGM:
23+)

I saw a LLMD about 3 weeks ago and was put on Clarithromycin. I was having really bad joint pain, and that did seem improve in the first week of antibiotics. However, lately I've been feeling just about like death.

I had a 99 degree temp today which I know isn't bad but low 97's are normal for me and I felt just awful today. My neck hurts, my head, my joints are just killing me, muscles burning and just HURTING! What is up with that? Is it a herx maybe? What makes it stop!

Also, I've had keratits (inflammation of the cornea) for the past few weeks, I was on regular antibiotic eye drops for about 3 weeks, then switched to an antibiotic/steroid combo 1 wk ago.

My eyes should have been better by now but I just found out today that the infection hasn't cleared.
I've seen at a few sites that keratitis can be caused by lyme, but does anyone have any experience with that?

I'm wondering if I'll ever get my full vision back, if my eyes will ever stop hurting, along with the rest of me...

Amy... Ive got eye issues as well, and from what Ive read, it may take some time before it all clears up. The different abx will affect your eyes, I call them eye flares, and all you can do is manage through it best you can.

I would say the symptoms you describe could be a herx, which is a good thing, provided you can handle the pain and discomfort.

As for thinking that your eyes would be better by now, I hate to say it, but from everything Ive read, even once you're on abx, it may take months for things to clear.

I read something somewhere, I think a lyme pamphlet I was given by my LLMD that said something like..

Everything takes at least 3 mos to heal, and when we heal, we heal in reverse.

...ok, brain fog deciphering...I think means that give yourself a few months on abx before worrying, and also, if your 1st symptoms were gerd, those will be the last ones cured.. If your first symptoms were neuro, neuro will be last to be cured. I guess the reasoning is that those areas had the longest time to allow the crud to grow.
