Does anyone else get migrating pain - I define it as pain that moves around - like one month it is in my ribcage, the next month it is in my back. Sometimes it is in scary places like my breast, ovary area or under my arm. Stays for a few days or a few weeks, then it goes away.

If I ran to the doctor everytime I have a pain they would think I am crazy. But how do you all deal with this? Right now it is under my arm and it is scary - no lumps but of course I am thinking breast cancer. Someone give me words of encouragement. How long should I wait to see if it just goes away? Is migrating pain a Lyme symptom I will have forever?
Thanks! Julie

Yes, altho my pains have their favorite places: my legs, calf and thighs, back - small part and between the shoulder blades, neck and headache.

Lately pain visits my hips! wierd
Last night I had a stabbing pain in my left big toe and at the ankle.

Then when I woke up a couple hours later it was in my right big toe under the toe nail and hammering sharp pains!

This morning - nothing but a dull ache in my back and hips.

Lyme is the strangest thing!

Migrating joint pain was one of my son's first symptoms. He would have severe pain in his right hip and couldn't walk. Later (sometimes the same day), the pain would be in his right knee and the hip pain was gone.

He continues to have migrating joint pain, but it's better.

You're not alone. Sometimes my wrists hurt so bad, then behind my knee, my armpit too, my face, then it's in my chest. I think our nervous system is overwhelmed and all of those neurons are angry and firing.

It's certainly scary when a new site of pain crops up, but so far, none have been constant for me. Just migrating. They may last a few months, but then are gone as quickly as the pains arrived. So weird, right?

Ever try acupuncture? This really seemed to help some of my nervie pains.

Yes... I have it too.

I think if you have cancer - it's not painful at first. My mother had lymphoma & her lymph node swelled up like a grapefruit but it wasn't painful to her.

At first they thought she had cat scratch fever...
