macgirl,

I don't have the balance problems, but I used to have the "cuts don't heal" problem. The simplist wound would hang on for a year or more. This is not a good sign regarding your health.

Your immune system is in the garbage can. Your cells are not replenishing as they should. You need to work very hard at healing your body.

Antibiotics are designed to kill things. They don't heal anything. Abx are good for killing bacterias, but you need to do things to heal your body.

For the past two years, I have been working first with a GP who is a member of ACAM (American College of Advanced Medicine). He is "integrative" meaning he incorporates western medicine with more traditional medicine and focuses on healing the body so the body can deal with and remove pathogens.

This doctor literally saved my life. My first recommendation is find a doctor like him. Don't give up your LLMD. Just find a 2nd doctor to help you build up your body. You need a doctor to help with this because they can run tests to pinpoint where your body is suffering.

www.acam.org has a "Find a Physician" option.

Second, I found an LLMD/ILADS who also works integratively. She has advanced me even beyond the first doctor.

One thing that is very helpful to me and made a noticeable difference in my skin is fresh vegetable juicing. This gets nutrients into the bloodstream very quickly. You may not be able to eat 8-10 carrots, spinach, celery, ginger and garlic in a sitting, but you can easily drink them in an 8oz glass.

When you juice the veggie, you remove the fiber. What is left are all the nutrients which are quickly absorbed by the body.

Today, whenever I get a cut or scratch, it heals within days. So fast, I almost feel like I can watch it heal.

If my skin is healing this well, so are my internal body parts.

cuts and wounds that do not heal or heal very slowly can be a sign of diabetes

maybe you should have yourself checked just in case

I was just talking about this yesterday! This has been a problem for me for about a year now.

The tiniest scratch or cut takes weeks to heal and then leaves a scar like you wouldn't believe.

It definately worries me, and I know that it's not a good sign. I'm going to turn it up a notch as far as healing my body is concerned. I may go get a juicer today!

sorry are you guys talking about slow/improper healing after, during, before treatment or even before diagnosis??

I'm just trying to clear this up ... like I'm pre-treatment right now b/c awaiting a referral and im definitely heal very very slow
I even had surgery and things healed so slow that they healed incorrectly but im not re-doing anything till i get an answer/treatment even if it takes a couple years.

But ya I guess i'm wondering if anyone's healing sped up/got better with Lyme treatment ? Or if that stuck with everyone even after other symptoms got better/disappeared??
