Lightheadedness is one of my worst symptoms.

I will not be seing an LLMD for another few months and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to manage this symptom.

I know that it gets much worse when I eat simple sugars or do not eat a meal for a prolonged period of time.

This suggests hypoglycemia may play a role, however eating well doesn't necessarily make the symptom go away.

It also gets worse during psychologically stressful situations, such as running late or getting lost in my car.

My lightheadedness gets much worse when I do any sort of physical exertion.

I've only fainte once, bu the only reason I haven't fainted since my first time is because I can recognize the warning signs and stop whatever I'm doing.

My question is, does anyone know of any "home remedies" (i.e. non perscription) for lightheadedness or how it can be better managed?

Thanks.

I was diagnosed with and treated for late stage Lyme in 1991 with 6 weeks of doxycycline. Initially felt better, but then developed health problems that last until today.

Ginger tea or capsules

Magnesium & B-6 (to help reduce toxins and exhaustion)

Adrenal support herbs (ashwagandha, cordyceps, or Siberian Ginseng - not regular ginseng)

frequent small meals with protein, complex carbs and good fats.

Frequent rest periods

Avoid over-doing, avoid bending over or lifting more than 10 pounds - if the inner ear is connected to this, it's not good to stress it.

Liver support, too, as toxins can contribute to this.

Have you looked at POTs or NMH?

Drink lots of water and maybe add some salt to your diet.

I can't crouch down and get up quickly without feeling this way.

Hugs,

Geneal

Thanks for the info.

Keebler, I'll look into some of the natural remedies for the adrenal support.

I definitely suspect adrenal dysfunction, even though my endocrinologist disagrees.

I also know that when I eat salty things or drink lots of water with electrolytes things always get better, so I'll need to do more of that.
