I have just started treatment and I am on Azithromycin 500mg once daily and cefdinir 200mg twice daily. Any thoughts on whether to take these meds with or without food. Thought on preventing yeast buildup. Should I avoid dairy products at the time I take the meds? Also, concerning herxes. Should I expect to have one and how severe could it be. Your advice and help are appreciated. I already woke up this am with a slight sick feeling in my stomach.

TAKE WITH FOOD, unless you don't NEED your stomach!! Take a high quality probiotic. My favorite is Theralac. www.theralac.com I personally avoid dairy. I found it was counter-productive when it came to avoiding yeast issues. As far as not eating dairy with the abx, check www.drugdigest.com Eat low carb and no sugar... little fruit. Nearly everyone herxes. A few lucky ones escape somehow!! WElcome!!! -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!
