He said he was from columbus ohio, and that he had a woman who wanted to get in touch with me through him to talk to me about my troubles with lyme. He gave me her phone number, and then he said to contact him if I needed anything.... so i responded with thanks, I might contact her... he was very excited that i responded....
Then I tried to write him again tonight and he has me on his ignore list. He just registered this month for lymenet and has zero posts.

I don't call anyone who is a new poster on the board. I have had a new person ask for my number (they're doing a "study" on Lyme and I didn't give out my number). Then I never see or hear from them again.
I wouldn't call. There's really not much you can't learn from this person via PM.
He sounds very suspicious. Don't give him any info about yourself.

If you are curious about the number, you can "google" it or use the reverse number lookup on www.freeality.com .
Personally, I think it sounds very odd & I would not call it. Let that person jion Lymenet as a user & communicate with you here.
If they don't have a computer, they can go to the Library.
If the user who contacted you isn't even known & PUT YOU ON THEIR BLOCKED LIST????!!!!! I wouldn't waste MY time.

Be careful when you call out as your number will appear on others' caller ID.
By doing the *67 before dialing this is supposed to deactivate that.
Key term, however, "supposed to" - I don't know how to be sure.

OK everyone, relax. No foul play, no trolling. My coworker is computer challenged and has email issues, and asked me to log into lymenet in an effort to reach out to clint31. She has lyme and sympathizes with his struggles, as I do with her, and she was reaching out her hand in support. After logging in and contacting him, I accidentally, say again, accidentally, selected the ignore feature - right next to the buddy list feature. I didn't know what I had done until my colleague told me about clint's post of foul play. It wasn't my attempt to mess with him or anyone on this great support system. I would never mess with anyone or troll like that, especially for someone in a vulnerable state as his. My attempt to reach out was genuine, albeit unusual for a new user - for I was just doing what my colleague asked. I (we) wish him the best, and her offer of support still stands.

thanks for your note. Sometimes we can be a bit tender here as there are people who do sort of create confusion - or worse - from time to time.
Good luck to you and your friend and an official "welcome" to you both.

Thanks Keebler! If you or anyone else has contact with clint31, lend him support and put in a good word for us - I think he hates me now.

250 sent this to me, and he gives some more details as well.....
Hey Betty: Thanks for your welcoming info.
I logged on to help a friend who uses this site. Has been treated for lyme for 10 months, as uses this site often.
She linked with Ann-OH and has found a competent doctor in PA. ****************************
Sadly, she doesn't know how to send and receive email - has password issues. So maybe I can teach her or get her to the library. *************************************
Just to confirm - I'm not a troll (read posting by clint31 and my followup).
Call off that Lou guy, would you? And if you have contact with clint31, let him know my colleague is still concerned. I think he hates me now!

250, my APOLOGIES to you! --------------------------
we've also had trolls posting porno photos here during this past week and they hit us hard daily here!!!
thank you for both of your support on clint's problems now; i'll let him speak for himself!
but it's the SINCERE THOUGHTS behind it that count even if we got off to a rough start.
250, click on CLINT'S 1st post; click IGNORE AGAIN; which is supposed to STOP that and accept his notes back to you.
i too have ACCIDENTALLY hit that and could not figure out how to get them off ignore and receive their posts!!
so it even happens to me pretty computer savvy and i read the frequently asked questions at top for guidance also!!
so 250; thanks for helping your co-worker who is NOT computer savvy.
please accept my apology; i'd go back to my earlier post and delete it! i misjudged you... **********************************************
i'll send loub a copy of this thread to read so he doesn't do anything...
