I know this technically is not medical, but have a question for a few friends needing help getting their SSDI claims approved. Who exactly do you contact, Local congressman, senators?? What information do you need to give to them? Should you call or write? I tried to find this info in BettyG's newbie packet, but could not locate it. hi there contact your LOCAL "FEDERAL ONLY" ********************************** SENATOR and HOUSE REP's "LOCAL" OFFICES nearest you. you will need to sign a RELEASE OF INFORMATION which shows your name, SS no., address, etc. call them and ask them to send you release of info form. once they get involved, DDS has to send them MONTHLY reports on status of IF/WHEN your admin law judge hearing will be. my senator's office called/emailed me monthly; house reps office NEVER contacted me !!! they just patted themselves on back for all they did ?? i'll have to copy this and add to my newbie info; thanks for telling me it's not there! CG I believe it's federal, since this is a federal program. -------------------- Lymednva
