Hello everyone I hope everyone is having a pleasant day! I have been on orals for about a year now with a little improvement here and there. I had just finished a 1 month round of Claforan I.M. injections and uh...ya those are pleasant twice a day. I had some improvment on that as well but I am not pleased with the progress. I called my doc and asked him if would like me to do another round and he suggested I.V. My insurance company rocks!!!! and I was approved for open ended I.V. treatment.(Thank you God!) I was supposed to start out on Primaxin but it was on back order and now it appears that I will be put on Vancomycin. As I undertand this stuff is quite toxic. I have also read that this is one of the most effective meds at treating chronic Bb. Has this been the first choice option for anyone else? I am hoping this is going to kick some Bb A$$! I've gone from being built like a bodybuilder last year to Chinese Gymnest this year.
