i have been on biaxin and plaquenil for 3 mths and a few wks ago i lowered my plaquenil from 400 mg to 200 mg a day for 1 1/2 wks due to stomach issues.I noticed the dizziness was better. I have noticed since starting these meds that i am very dizzy. Dizziness has been my a big symptom of mine but it has been better in the last yr..so could the plaquenil be causing this??? di

Plaquenil caused me to have a string of migraines - when I stopped Plaquenil the migraines also stopped.
Any medication can cause dizziness, or it could also be the combo of medications.
In any case, I stopped taking Plaquenil and still progressed in feeling better and better.
I know this is not an answer, but some things for you think about before you discuss this with your doctor.

I too am on Plaquinil but with it I'm also on IV Rochephin and oral Biaxin but SOMETHING has made me EXTREMELY dizzy.
To the point that I would CRAWL to the bathroom just so I wouldn't fall. I think I'd go from the room spinning to just slanting.
Since I'd had that symptom in the past, I thought maybe it was a herx?????? But hey...could have been ANY med, including the Plaquinil.
I hope you can figure out which one it is and make the earth stop spinning so fast since this is not fun. It spun so badly for awhile I was sick to my stomach, but it is easing. GOOD LUCK.

I attempted the Biaxin and Plaquenil combo last year. I started the Biaxin before I started taking the Plaquenil, and the Biaxin made me so dizzy and anxious I had to stop within a week. It took months for the side effects to go away as well; an all in all miserable experience. There are many people who seem to get similar side effects when taking the medication for things unrelated to Lyme - it seems to be an antibiotic that a lot of folks are particularly sensitive to.
