I'm on my 3rd PICC line and I need some recommendations for a home nurse or agency to do dressing changes and blood work.
My last line had to be pulled because the combo of alcohol and betadine caused chemical burns over time. The nurse who placed both this PICC and the last doesn't want this to happen again (neither do I!) so we're trying to find an agency that has nurses familiar with long-term PICC line placement.
I'm north of Boston (Beverly MA). Thanks!

just wondering how using a different agency can change your reaction to betadine and alcohol?
whatever agency you use should be able to obtain a dressing change kit iwth chloroprep cleanser instead of the betadine and alcohol.
another suggestion is trying a hypoallergenic dressing as the tegaderm used usually causes more of a reaction.
