Can anyone post the recommended dosege? From what I remember, a couple years back Nutramedix used to say "3x per day" on the back of the bottle, and switched it to 2x a day. I use this on trips out west to help acclimate, and last year and this year I have done twice a day, but it doesn't feel as powerful and I think previously I had used Samento 3x a day.

Any comments would be helpful. I really should have wrote down the dosages a couple years back! But I think I can remember doing it 3x a day back then I just can't remember if it was every six or every eight hours.

Thanks for any feedback.

Depends on the protocol you're on.

On Cowden I took 20 drops at bedtime.

Now I'm on more of a Buhner protocol - 20 drops two times daily.

I'd start off with ONE drop and see how it goes, gradually increasing to what it says on the bottle.

SixGoofyKids?

I have a question. Buhner recommends regular cat's claw in his book, "Healing Lyme" as he says the TOA alkaloids help the nervous system functions.

Is he now recommending Samento in some other writings of his?
I've not read everything on his web site. I know he updates from time to time and wonder if I've missed something.

Or - maybe your doctor prefers the Samento for your symptoms.

Thanks.

Mike,

Yes, while I now prefer regular cat's claw, when I took Samento when it first came out, I recall scoffing at the "one drop" suggestion by my doctor.

Well, I found out why caution was advised and after a harsh effect, I did do the "one drop" and worked up slowly.

It can have powerful effects if you're new to it or you've not taken it for a while.

Below, the normal dose listed at 15 drops - and SIxGoofyKids' information beyond that to 20 drops seems the upper limit.

They also have the capsules and I recall a strong effect from those, too.

I was already on the Cowden protocol, but my LLMD wanted to switch things around because I was having too much of an immune system reaction, so he wanted me off Cumanda specifically.

He changed me to Andrographis, Resveratrol, and Banderol, and kept me on Samento. I think it's likely because he uses more Cowden, but I'm not sure.

Buhner doesnt recommend Samento, that I know. He prefers whole cats claw. But some people seem to react better with Samento.

I use both, they do seem very similar, even thoguh I prefer whole herb. I do tinctures with whole herb at home when I want to keep it for longer.

I would start with 1 drop, then slowly increase.

It is known to give herxes to most people, so be on the safe side.
