I know this topic has been touched upon in past discussions, but I wanted to bring it back up. I had three wisdom teeth extracted this past Tuesday (today is Saturday) and my symptoms have been greatly heightened since.
I went to a biological minded oral surgeon, who used Conscious "Twilight" Sedation, small dose IV ABX, and a Vitamin C IV Push after the procedure. I was not on oral ABX prior, but have been taking Oral Clindamycin since Tuesday.
My question is: what sort of responses have my fellow Lymies had with these types of procedures? If similar, how long did it take you to get back to baseline? And, Do you have any suggestions or experiences to offer for what I could do to assist my body to gain back that precious ground?
Thanks in advance, and I hope everyone is having as great a day as possible.

Well, not entirely similiar, but my sister had a small herx reaction to clindamycin from dental work. It's what made her finally connect the dots and consider that her MS was really lyme. Plus, I think even a small amount of IV abx could cause a mass die-off.

Clindamycin is one of the worst abx known for causing Clostridium difficile, a disastrous and potentially fatal infection of the gut. "C diff" is an anerobic bacterium. Please be sure to take very high-quality, top-rated probiotics while on clindamycin and for months afterwards.

Thanks very much for your responses and helpful feedback. I most certainly will pound the probiotics and kefir for the coming months.
The interest thing is that I was feeling the adverse effects even before starting the oral clinda.
Not quite sure if it is from the small dose of IV ABX as you pointed out or just a general burden caused by the trauma/toxic addition of the procedure.
Any feedback in that regard would be greatly appreciated. From what I gathered, it seems detoxing and rest is the best thing, but I know there are ample people on LymeNet who are a wealth of knowledge.
Thanks again!
