Hello! Can anyone please tell me if you have had success on this drug? I was on it for a week but got 3 DVT's in my picc line so went off abx for 10 days. My Lyme symptoms came back like a train ran over me. Now I have a peripheral IV until a new PICC is placed now that I am on Lovenox to prevent clotting. Day 3 back on Cefepime and my inner ears hurt, I am DIZZY, and naseous. Is this a Herx? If you have gotten well from Cefepime, how long were you on it? I think my Lyme went undiagnosed for about 18 mths. Thanks so very much. Jenny

Jenny you do not have Pm's enabled. I know who you are treating with just by the abx that you are on.

google the name Cefepime and FDA and you will find some info on this drug. I don't know if it has been cleared yet, but apparently there was some concern about this drug last year.

Cefepime is not commonly used to treat Lyme.
