You would poison your liver and die.

Please call a suicide hotline if you are having suicidal thoughts.

I am having some bad depression since about mid morning with terrible thoughts. I talked myself down but I need to talk to my wife tonight and see my family. Always makes me feel better.

Are you OK, Rich?? We care about you!!!!

Tylenol is one of the worst things for the liver/kidneys, by the way. It would be horrible to survive it and have to end up with a liver transplant or dialysis!

Take care of yourself, and go see your doctor!! [group hug]

I am so sorry you feel like you do.
Please know you are not alone and we all care about you.
Hang in there and call your doctor or go to the ER.

Here is a good mental health resource

dbsalliance.org

They have forums for depression, bipolar etc.

(by the way If someone was to take a bottle of tylenol it would likely take a few days to actually kill you and you would suffer quite a bit)

I was referring to one of those bulk size bottles of Tylenol PM that supply you for years. Regardless, enoug of that idea, I am going to fight this thing.

It is the ups and downs that are so puzzling. I slept so well the last few nights, went to the gym one night and took a walk the next. I wasn't limping and my arm/wrist was feeling better. I also wasn't having as much discoloring of my left hand and my mood was good!

Then, last night our daughter came in and woke me out of a deep sleep at about 4:00am and I notmally get up at 6:45. I am terrible on little sleep! An yway, I think a cycle may be hitting along with lack of sleep just crushed me today.

I am alittle better tonight and happy the weekend is here.

I think a BIG problem for me a big part of the depression is the voice i nmy head that says it is not Lme, it is something unknow and you will forever suffer because we haven't a clue what is causing your misery. This was cemented in my head after a year of seeing every doctor under the sun, telling me I was crazy, couldn't be Lyme, get it out of you head!, even my own family saying itwas in my head or diet, etc.

I was diagnosed with MGUS(a protein spike in my blood produced by the immune system for no good reason! Only theory is it is from some infection of unkown origin.) Hmmm, Lyme? Docs thought I was crazy when I said that even though they have no f&^*%*& clue what causes it! They are the crazy ones. So then I start joinging all these MGUS support groups and go through serious testing for cancer of the blood. It comes back fine, but people on the forums and support groups claim pain and symptoms from MGUS and I read this as well in articles on line. I ask the hematologists about this and they say, they have never heard of pain from MGUS and these are guys with much experience, but the support groups say otherwise. What the!

Then therapists and chiropractors, massage therapists say it is just physical and I need some body work, over and over again. Finally, a Lyme doc says it is Lyme and then another and think the infection could be causing the MGUS or protein spike by my immune system going crazy. What came first, the chicken or the egg. What is causing the symtoms.

Then I get a positive IgG Lyme test and an indeterminant IgM test, with two positives for Babesia, one being the FISH test. So I said this must be it, it has to be Lyme and company. False positives on the FISH are unheard of. Then there is the fact that I don't have some of the common Lyme symptoms like painful joints. However, I do have pain in my left wrist and riht ankle, hmmm.

Anyway, 1 1/2 months of treatment and no change makes Rich a grumpy boy and a sad man. [Frown]

Thanks for caring. [group hug]

AWWW Rich,

So many of us here can relate. I have had many instances myself when I hoped that the morning never came for me.

After ten months of treatment w/o any discernable improvement, in the last 3 weeks I have put together 6 good days in a row.

So, I'm glad that I did wake up each morning.

I'm trying to offer you some comfort and hope.Always here for you if you need a shoulder.

So sorry Rich. It is tough. Babs treatment is tough. Lyme is tough.

Joint pain has been a small part of my illness, so that is possible. I get wrist pain in my right wrist and knee pain in my left knee. Even this is not very often.

Treatment takes time. Hang in there. It gets better.

About the Tylenol PM .... it's Benadryl and Tylenol .... I think it would be as Merrygirl says as it would most likely be the Tylenol causing liver failure that would, you know.

Glad you talked yourself down from it. [Smile]

You don't need to have painful joints to have Lyme. The bloodwork doesn't lie!

I have Lyme, Bart, and babesia. Even in my worst flares, my joint pain was never bad. I suppose the only times I can remember it bothering me would be when cold air, like car AC vents, would blow over them.

But that was only sometimes.

Just focus on your Lyme and Babesia treatment for now and see where that takes you....you are doing the right thing by treating something that you know you have.

Good luck and stay strong! [Smile]
