Topic: Does insurance cover IV glutathione if MD writes order?

I know there are natural health centers in Indianapolis that offer it, along with things like vitamin IVs, but I doubt my insurance will cover that.
Does anyone just get it from their local MD, or at a local hospital? Does your LLMD write an order for it?

I bought them online. They are shipped overnight and I do the injections myself. Works out to about $15/injection (2 grams).

We used a mail order pharmacy -- Medaus in Birmingham, Alabama with a doc's prescription.
Hubby has had a PICC line for over 5 years and I have given him daily or at least 4 times weekly IV glutathione that entire time up until a couple of months ago.
A 100 ml bottle of injectable glutathione (200 mg/ml) costs $167 + 32 for overnight shipping. Medhaus filed hubby's insurance so we only paid the net cost -- insurance paid $100 per bottle (covered under his prescription plan at 60% of cost).
You would also need IV needles (10 cc needles work well) and either bacteriostatic saline or normal saline to mix with the glutathione. Those items also require scrips. Needles can be ordered from CVS, Walgreens etc in boxes of 100.
Hubby's new LLMD prescribed a different more expensive form of Alpha Lipoic Acid and it seems to be working -- hubby doesn't seem to get much benefit from IV glutathione anymore. And he is on the highest dose of multiple antibiotics he has ever been on.
This is not medical advice, just my opinion based on hubby's experiences.

You're a lucky one! My insurance wouldn't cover it, but I found them pretty cheap, so it doesn't matter too much. Do you do an IV push? You shouldn't need to buy normal saline. Just inject the glutathione directly. It's already pretty dilute.
