Is the constant dizziness I have while walking dangerous, or is it something to be expected? What are possible things that could be causing this? Or is it just the toxins being released in the brain during my treatment with ABx?

The only real dangerous thing about it, I think, would be walking and ending up tripping or falling over and injuring yourself that way.
I have/had dizziness for over a year when I first got very ill. I still have it once in a while. It's really disconcerting, but I don't think it'll harm you unless you try to walk or drive in that condition. Please, please, please don't try to drive or carry something heavy, etc., etc., -- the list could go on -- when you are dizzy.

Beyond mentioning it to your LLMD and detoxing as much as you can, I wouldn't worry. For months I needed someone's arm to hold onto to walk.
I did drive, but it was more of a balance issue than true dizziness. If I was sitting down, I didn't really feel it at all.

Toxins could be part of the problem. I had increasing problems with balance, coordination or muscle control, exhaustion, etc. These problems immediately decreased when I had mecury amalgam fillings removed last week.
I am hoping for further improvement as I detox.

I think I recall you saying on another post that you are on minocycline? Mino is notorious for causing dizziness. With some people, the dizziness passes after awhile, but for others (like me) it is a horrible side effect that gets worse as treatment progresses.
My LLMD replaced my minocycline with omnicef, which is generally better tolerated.
I hope you feel better and your dizziness passes soon.

yeah the dizziness has been since july, some days are better than others. doxy has been constant since then.
Maybe it is the doxy/minocycline.
I told my LLMD it was my worst symptom and made it very clear, she said "we can help the dizziness" and never really addressed it. I think I thought that she was gonna look at my hormone levels as a possible cause

Clint,
This may be a reaction to one of the meds (i.e. zithromax?).
It does not sound like you are taking minocycline, still, this may help as many get vertigo and tinnitus with zith.
If so, ask if you can take NAC and B-6. B-6 helped reduce vertigo in a study where minocycline triggered it. ( http://tinyurl.com/3xpvck )
NAC has been mentioned in other research to help reduce vertigo as a side-effect of some meds. But, you should ask your doctor as NAC may cause some meds to be cleared too quickly.
Sometimes, it just takes a while being on treatment.
Often, the vertigo is because the inner ear is greatly affected by toxins. Inflammation, too, is a culprit. Turmeric (or it's stronger version, curcumin) may help in that regard as it is anti-inflammatory.
You might ask if you can substitute another Rx for the zith.
in the meantime, ginger . . . ginger tea.
or some anti-vertigo Rx (others will know those - I'm more for the ginger.)

Clint, I have chronic vertigo/dizziness and multiple chemical sensitivities since starting on Biaxin in 04.
It by far is the most depressing symptom. I felt like I lost part of myself.
I have tried to go off the Biaxin for many months and the dizzyness does not go away.
I used to get it every so often but now it just stays.
I had to stop wearing my favorite cologne and I cant even smell that well anymore.

How is your blood pressure?
I have dizziness upon standing up too quickly or standing still.
I have POTs and NMH.
Mino caused true vertigo for me.
I couldn't even crawl on the floor on it.
Not a good thing for a mother of two.
I can't take it.
Drink a lot of water for sure.
Maybe ask your doctor about possible dysautonomia issues as well.
Hugs,

Vertigo and Dizzyness is different.

Make sure yoru LLMD check your Hormone levels and your blood pressure laying down and standing. My brain stopped making Cortisol due to Lyme and this causes the orthostatic blood pressure when I up at times.
