After a routine mammogram came back with a "dense tissue" issue, I went to my GP for a checkup to decide how to proceed further. Out of the blue, He found enlarged lymph nodes under my arms and in my neck. Next step is to get an ultrasound of all areas. I had Lymes in 5/07 and took the usual 30 days of DOX. Something in the back of my brain is telling me that this has something to do with Lymes Disease. Anyone else have a similar story? I didn't even think of Lyme until I left his office this afternoon so I didn't get to discuss with him.

It's possible, but not even remotely certain that it could be Lyme related.
If it were me, since I had "dense tissue" on mammogram I would exhaustively pursue other possibilities first, such as cancer. It sounds like your physicians are doing that.
If they can't come up with a reason for your enlarged lymph nodes then it may be worthwhile to find a physician who knows a lot about Lyme.
You can search for one on this site if it comes to that.
Good luck.

This is something that haunts me and I HATE IT. I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck. I had one in my groin completely removed and biopsied. It was benign. Even with that benign diagnosis, I still worry. I started getting swollen lymph nodes after I got bit, didn't realize that the bite gave me Lyme, so I was very concerned - to the point of having surgery to make sure.
So, to answer your question...I think mine are related to Lyme, even though when I asked my llmd what it could be from and his reply was "Maybe because your face is a little broken out", which I thought was dumb because 3 pimples can give me swollen lymph nodes but not this horrible bacteria in my body?
I would definitely get it checked out, I know that my life could not have gone on unless I knew for sure. It was the WORST time of my life waiting for my surgery and biopsy results. Horrible! I was relieved after but every time my doctor comments on it, I still want to vomit with worry.
Let us know what you find out and good luck.
