Welcome Boscos mom...
Thursday nights are typically the second slowest night here for volunteers and posters. Sorry you didn't get an answer yet.
And here is the other news...
You aren't getting one now either.
HA!
SO SORRY! My brain is fried and I was on my way to bed when I saw your post here had gone unanswered. Since I can't think enough to respond intelligently...
I am here just to welcome you and by posting on your post, I am bringing it back to the top for the early birds tomorrow.
Hopefully they can explain. I know they will try and they do care.... as do I.
Catch you at a more decent hour. Take care of you!!!

IgG positive is legit. Band 31 on IgG indicates you've had it a while. Band 31 is lyme-specific, too.
According to CDC tracking criteria, you don't have a positive. But that is only supposed to be used for tracking purposes, not diagnostic.
For diagnosis, they look at clinical symptoms supported by testing.

I was diagnosed clinically with all negatives; but after 3 months of treatment I had band IGM 41 to light up. My LLMD says this is significant to LD. Sometimes every few months you can retest and more and more bands will light up. It is very common to test negative with LD. The test are inaccurate. Read ILADS.org; it explains that the diagnosis for LD should be made clinically.
