In the last week or so, developed a new symptom. A very itchy rash in my right armpit. Also feeling a bit more fatigued and headache is back. I do not have red marks. Also a bit itchy on the back of my scalp

any clue if this is a herx, lyme or bart. Or for that matter something else.

the last few days, I have also not taken my probiotics on a regular basis. Can this be candida. How would I know for sure

Tony, This sounds like babesia to me. I just went through almost the same thing earlier this year. Try buying some artemesinin gel (you can find it online) and putting it on the rash and see if it helps. It may even make you herx. It did for me. If the get gets a little gritty, put some body lotion on top of it to help it sink into the skin better. You can also try putting Venex bee venom ointment on it or ozonated olive oil.

Only w/me, the rash continued to expand and eventually covered almost my entire back, down the spine to the tailbone, both butt cheeks, elbows, knees, calves, abdomen, around the belly button, around my waistline. It was miserable. I finally got rid of it, but a little came back recently, but went away quickly w/treatment.

I'm still treating babesia & think I still have a little on my scalp. But I'm sure there's still some left through out my body. Just much less.

I forgot to mention that I tested negative for babs through Igenex and also only had night sweats one time last year. I did not think it could be babs, however let me look into it.

Was your also extremely itchy

Thanks for the suggestions

Hi Tony,

I failed to mention that I also tested negative for babesia. However, after relapsing after treatment for Bb then Bart, I decided to try rifing for Babs and I herxed, so we started treating for Babs, first w/herbs (Enula and Artemesia) Artemesia was later changed to artemesinin and plaquenil was added.

Now I'm on Mepron, Alinia, Enula, Artemesinin, and Azithromycin as well as Doxy. The Mepron and Alinia are particularly strong and make me herx, but are about to bankrupt me.

And yes, my rash was very itchy. You should try the artemesinin gel first because it's specific for babs, whereas Venex and ozonated olive oil are not so specific.

Patti

I am afraid is bart. That is exactly the way that was showed in me and my kids.itchy under the armpit. That is where BART loves to be.

Try HH capsules and see if you react. You know that you need to retreat bart once it raises the ugly head.No body knows how many times...but watch out..as it is really a Nasty BUG!

I know it's tuff to know for sure, what is causing the armpit rash. The replies are solid, in terms of it being babs, bart or candida.

Now if I am already on Doxy, should that not work against bart?

Any other advice, as to how to narrow this done. I do not see my LLMD until 10/14 so I want to get some relief or at least be in a position to ask well informed questions

I have rashes in both of my arm pits and got them after I got bit. Technically, this would have been my "first" symptom but I thought nothing of it. Mine are red, kind of raised, elongated, and very itchy though.

Nothing helps them go away. Actually, I did a round of steroids (I know, I know) and they went away and came right back. They are hideous looking. Goodbye sleeveless shirts!

you've been around awhile-i assume you know the right way to control candida...good quality probiotics, keep them cold, take on empty stomach

there were times i needed 10 or more capsules a day-depending on meds and diet

you must know the diet

also-an antifungal ointment or powder might help and show if it is candida
