I found out I was positive for Lyme Disease (two weeks ago) from my IgenX "Western Blot" lab result which showed three bands which were positive. I have not got any results about any co-infections-----yet. IgenX said they could test the blood they already had on file from the Lyme test, for all the co-infections which they do testing for. The problem is, I don't know how reliable they are as a lab for testing these co-infections. I know people trust IgenX for being good and reliable for testing for Lyme Disease, but how reliable are they for testing co-infections? Are there many different strains for the co-infections? There is a lot of evidence that the tic which bit me was in London, England. Would London, England be a better place to test for co-infections if I was bitten in London, England? One of my doctors said "Labcorps" is good for testing co-infections, but someone on this forum says Labcorps can't be trusted. I want to know the best place to be tested for the co-infections--no matter how much it will cost me. I want the most reliable results. My doctor thinks I show signs of "babesia," and he says I can't treat my Lyme Disease until I have gotten rid of all co-infections first, so this is so so important to have an accurate status on this matter. I did tell IgenX to go ahead and test me for all the co-infections, but now, once I get the results back in a few weeks, I don't know if I can trust the results of the testing, especially since someone on this forum said you can't trust IgenX when it comes to the testing for co-infections. Please Help!!!!!!

No coinfection testing is 100% accurate at this time. Have you LLMD do a clinic diagnosis of you after he gets your Igenex results back.
Sometimes bartonella symptoms do not even appear until you start to treat babesia and lyme. Read as much as you can about the different diseases and advise your LLMD if you think you have any of the symptoms.
