Hi all: Can't take the doxy hyclate anymore. I have been on since the end of May and it has effected me in so many ways. The worst is major mood swings, depression, blurry vision, poor adrenal function, weight gain, stomach problems (even with theralac and other probiotics), and now I feel I am getting gout in my toes! My doctor prescribed without supplement for my liver, so I feel that may be the problem.

Have any of you had withdrawal symptoms from doxy-this is day 2 and I feel incredibly sleepy and sort of headachy-vision slightly blurred. CAn any of you recommend a detox or anything for my liver and adrenal function. I am trying to find a holistic doctor in this area..but no luck. The only one seems to be the one that is with my LLMD that I am leaving.

Thanks.

Have you tried or taken milk thistle to support liver function?

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I am not sure you are having a withdrawal so much as

Doxy may have been masking a co-infection....

Doxy has wonderful anti-inflammatory properties.

Stays in your system for 24-36 hours.

I think an abrupt onset of symptoms within stopping

An antibiotic may be indicative of a co-infection.

Just a thought.

Hugs,

Geneal
