I recently saw Dr. Bennett in LA, whom is renowed in muscle testing and is well-versed in lyme, mold etc. One surprise from the visit was that she muscle-tested for HHV-6 and found that it's a serious problem for me right now.
Before seeing her, I had done electrodermal testing 2x, one with the asyra, and both were negative for HHV-6. However, both times were before I started treating lyme this July.
My IGG titers were always kinda high but not excessively at 1:160. Dr. H had said back in June he interpreted this to mean possible active infection but not necessarily?
This tells me that by treating the lyme, the HHV-6 has reactivated and in a bad bad way. Dr. Bennett has me on olive leaf extract 3 pills, 3x/day. Not sure how we will approach this from here on out since there's no treatment for this aside from valcyte (which I refuse to take while on ABx)
Just wondering if has been an issue that arose post-ABx for anyone, and if so, how did you address it?
Btw, finding an expert muscle-tester is a godsend. I believe she will provide tons of insight over the course of my treatment. (She also tested that Valtrex is no longer effective for my EBV infection...so I will cut my losses)

Joey, I have had elevated HHV-6 titers as well. I agree with you. Valcyte along with abx is a little scary considering the possible liver sides with the valcyte....
Try to keep hammering the lyme and co's and the viruses should go bye-bye eventually as the bod gets stronger...if the body gets stronger....

the revelation is that HHV-6 seems more serious now than the EBV, which certainly was not the case a few months ago per positive EBV IGM and EA titers and also energetic testing.
HHV-6 certainly seems like the most opportunistic stealth pathogen of the two, at least for me.
I'm with you on making the body stronger, and I'm hopeful that treatment with Dr. Bennett will do just that.
I am also seriously considering the bionic 880 treatment in germany to eradicate the lyme so that all the secondary issues become visible and accessible to innate immunity.
Heavy metal removal (despite a non-show from DMPS-challenge, several urine tests) seems crucial. Dr. Bennett confirmed what others on the board have said about heavy metals being held on and un-releasable without getting rid of the microbes first.

Yes, high EBV, HHV6 etc. are extremely common with Lyme, as are the symptoms of CFS. My CFS and all my symptoms went away with Lyme and babesia treatment. It needs to be aggressive!!! It took me 5 years of multiple antibiotics in high doses to cure me! The EBV titer goes back to normal once you treat the Lyme and co-infections. These viruses come out to play when the immune system is taxed from an underlying bacterial infection. Some folks need Valtrex..or Valcyte..for the viruses at the same time as the antibiotics.

I could never tolerate the anti-virals, but like Wild Condor, after hitting the Lyme and co's hard, all of my viral titers have gone down and recent tests were normal.

Treating lyme does not necessarily make the HHV-6 and EBV go latent again. (Glad it worked for Cactus though!!) Some people have only viral infections and not lyme, and they are not well. It may be prudent to treat both the viral and bacterial infections.
