So I posted yesterday how my LLMD prescribed omnicef and zithromax. I took both (along with doxy that I have been taking) and felt extremely dizzy and weak yesterday.

I talked to LLMD and she said to take out the zith and see how it goes. I took the omnicef and doxy this morning and feel the same again!

It's like I'm so dizzy and weak that I can barely move. I just want to close my eyes and sleep.

I feel "drugged up" if you will.

I'm also having diarrhea (sorry for sharing), which I know makes you feel weak but this is unusual fatigue.

Anyone have experience with this?

My LLMD said give it 48 hours but I really don't want to take this anymore--not sure how I can get through the next day feeling like this!!

I'm so sorry for your current condition!! I have been on all of these drugs and took the omnicef/doxy at the same time. Definitely had the diarrhea which improved by taking the doxy with a small snack.

Did not have the dizziness and can understand your concern. I know that doxy can cause cranial pressure which can become a problem, so if you have a bad headache with the dizziness then perhaps backing off the dose could be helpful.

Definitely stay in touch with your LLMD. Tough to say which is the culprit as doxy tends to be difficult to take for many people, buy omnicef, for me, brought out herx responses more immediately (e.g. lyme rash), so your dizziness could be a herx. You need your health care professional for this problem. If it gets too bad and you can't get a hold of your doc, go with your gut and cut back on one of them. Half a dose is still better than none.

Keep in touch with your LLMD and monitor closely. I took both of these meds simultaneously and doxy gave me the GI problems and bad headaches. Doxy can produce cranial pressure that is problematic, so if pain emerges with the dizziness be very attentive.

Omnicef brought out symptoms quickly for me, such as my rashes, so it could be a herx. If you get/stay too bad and can't get a hold of the doc, then go with your gut and cut one back. Better to take half than none at all and it might relieve some of the problems. My doxy symptoms got better over a few days, so yours may back off too. Praying for the best for you!!
