My antibiotics warn on the label not to take antacids within 2 hours of taking the meds and I know iron will interact with abx, but what about calcium?
Plain yogurt is really a staple in my diet now and one of the only things that helps my stomach. Do I also need to wait 2 hours?
Also--this may be a dumb question but are there other names for iron? My LLMD gave me a name of a daily vitamin to buy that is iron free.
However, the one that I currently have at home doesn't have iron in the label so I'm assuming it is okay? There are a list of ingredients that I don't know what they are so hoping these don't contain iron.

Lar,
You may want to call your local pharmacist about interactions with your abx.
Abx can cause serious stomach discomfort, so you might want to take it with food.
You might already be taking probiotics for your stomach, but I thought this thread was very informative regarding stomach irritations. Probiotics are way stronger than yogurt products because the good ones contain high cultures/high strain count and need to be refrigerated.
You would have to eat gallons of yogurt to equal on dose of probiotic.
