OK, the first week of every month, one or 2 days I will have sore feet and sore legs. I've read bartonella can do this? But would it only last for a day or so? I feel like I've exercised the day before, but haven't.

I've been tracking this since July, occassionally I will get a swollen and painful right knee too around the same time. Is this my body killing the lyme, or the bacteria replicating?

If it is reproducing, then why the pain? Is my body killing some of them off?

I'm not being treated yet as IGENEX results are pending, but plan to start some alternatives next week as we are moving back across the country in 2 days and I don't need to be on a herx while sitting in a car with 3 kids and hubby for 2500 miles [Wink]

Thanks!

Ocean

That actually sounds like a Lyme cycle.

Mine was like clock work. Around the end and beginning of each month.

Now I get them every new moon, full moon and menstrual cycle.

Hugs,

Geneal

Hi Geneal,
Thanks for your reply. So you also get 'sore'? It usually coincides with my cycle too, but haven't gotten one yet this month (5 days late now), I panicked and took a pregnancy test even though my husband said that there is 'no way you are pregnant [bonk] And it was negative, so I imagine the stress is keeping it away.

It's so strange, I don't recall feeling this in the 12 plus years that I've likely had the Lyme until this past spring (although I probably had it in the first 2 years of illness but I was so tired and depressed, I probably wouldn't have noticed!).

Take care,
Ocean

Wait, OK, so I've been EXHAUSTED the last couple days, is that a correlation with the Lyme cycle too? Maybe my body is trying to kill the newbies?

Hmmmm..food for thought!

I usually feel worse before my menstrual cycle.

Like one day or two.

Irregular cycles are also common with Lyme as is breast pain, pelvic pain, etc.

I think I've had it all. [shake]

I remember not being able to pull my head off the pillow.

I didn't have the luxury of giving into it though.

I had a 3 and a 4 year old.

Never any rest for the weary or Mothers.

Yet, I credit them for keeping me moving when I didn't think I could.

Keep us posted on your test results.

Remember, Lyme is a clinical diagnosis.

Based on symptoms and ruling other stuff out.

Blood work only helps support the diagnosis.

Hugs,

Geneal

It is the "good-ole" lyme cycle.

I call it PMS with a vengence. About every 28-35 days I get pretty sick and it lasts a good 4-5 days but they are getting weaker about every 2 months.

Thanks Geneal and Bryon,
So Bryon you are being treated currently and it's helping? I can't wait to do something to help, I hate thinking that these bugs are getting away with anything they want in my body.

geneal,
I hear ya about the mom's thing! My oldest is 7, middle is 4 (almost 5) and the baby just turned 2. Sometimes I wonder if they are the difference between my activity level now as opposed to when I first got sick at age 17, back then I COULD just lay in bed and do nothing.

Although I must say that I do tend to let the house go, I feed and bathe everyone and clean up the house when I can, of course it's mad rush when company comes [Wink]

Take care and I'll definitely post when IGENEX comes in, I'm very anxious to see!! I tested postive for Lyme and co with electrodermal testing when neither I or the doc was looking for it. While I have faith in that type of testing, I also want to see if it shows up in the blood to see if I 'really do have it'
