Well, my appointemnt with the LLMD was was postponed!
I stopped taking my doxy after having really bad herxes and being unable to keep anything down....at all, and figured I could wait to talk to the doctor about it.
Well, I don't think I can wait that long anymore. I just keep getting worse.
So tomorrow I'm going to start up with the doxy again. I keep reading about probiotics, something my regular doctor never mentioned.
Is there a particular place to get this? What's the best kind? Instructions on taking it? Should i wait longer to start taking the doxy again?
It has just been really difficult with the new job to function at all, and the herxes make it worse.
I'm just looking for help here.

miranda,
For now, you can go to your local well recommended health food store and get something that contains high culture/high strain. And it should be the refrigerated kind.
My local guy recommended renew life ultra flora crtitical care-50 BILLION/10 strain. you can also take more than one kind to mix up the strains for better coverage. My LLMD recommends Iflora professional, 20 billion/15 strain.
here is a good link on probiotic discussion and some brands people use.
If you use the search key and search probiotics you will get lots of great info on that topic.
Oh, and you can get lots of products online from sites such as vitacost, vitamin shoppe, iherb.com, etc.
be sure if they send the refrigerated kind they package with cooler packs to keep fresh or the cultures can die in transit. that would not be good.

Go to your health food store tomorrow and get Ultimate Flora [50 billion, but who's counting?? The number doesn't matter so much as the quality of the product. ] It's really good!!!!
Buy the best...you'll save money in the long run.
and be sure you're takin that doxy with FOOD!!!!

I would never be able to take any antibiotics at all, my stomach is so bad, if I didn't take an over the counter stomach medicine.
I just make sure to take it at least two hours before or after any antibiotics.
