Hello,
this is my newest symptom on this journey. Anyone have any idea what it is? Sometimes the tachycardia will wake me up from sleep.

Can babesia cause psych issues as well? I have terrible bouts of crying/depression.

HI Cd57, Yes I have this in the morning too. Accompanied by feeling faint and hard to stand up. I have had this for 17 years and nothing has mad eit better yet, even when other symptoms wax and wane this has never gone away for me. I hope others will chime in with some good advice!

Absolutly classic of Babesia, My vertigo gets so bad with my babesia herx's and it definately causes an inflammation of the vagus nerve I think that causes POTs like symptoms.

Ask your LLMD as he said babesia will cause a cycling crushing depression and he is so right - The only way you will know for sure is to start some high dose meds like malarone and see your response - With me initially my symptoms totally dissapeared and then you will herx.

Other things to look out for are breathlessness/air hunger
Petechiea or cherry spots
A cycling depression that normally peaks every 3 weeks and then subsides slightly
and an eratic heartbeat

the psych issues for me are very strange as when they peak I also feel every emotion too strongly to the point of it feeling unbearable and then it dissapears.

You MUST treat it and see

Hi, I went to Mayo clinic where they diagnosed me with pots prior to lyme diagnoses by cd57 test.

They put me on florinef which did not help. Later, an ID dr. put me on tenormin for the super ventricular tachycardia, and that helps alot. I also have fast heartrates when waking in the am or in the middle of the night I will wake with sweating, vertigo, and fast HR. My HR used to be up to 130, but now it doesn't get much over high 90's.

I am still early on in the abx and picc line, but interestingly I have been taking a liver detox vitamin and a pro biotic and that seems to help.

My hematologist also found I have high clotting factor, so I am on lovenox for dvt's in the picc line arm. Also I am getting IV iron.

Maybe your heart is having trouble from low ferrasulfate in addtn to the lyme? worht checking out. Low iron and lyme are a really bad combo.

Also check to see if you have sleep apnea or adrenal fatigue. Either can cause waking tachycardia....sleep apnea might also cause this during the night.
