I am currenlty awaiting my lab test from Cal, my symptoms all started with headache, stiff neck, weakness, trouble swallowing, weak sore muscles sore throat, overall feeling of crap, also twitiching all over. I was so worried it was ALS that i went to a nero test came back excellent thank GOD, but i still worry that it could be, i guess i am so worried just because i am patiently (just kidding) waiting on my labs. ANyone have these symptoms similar worries or words of wisdom. it would greatly be appreciated...... worried, scared ......

For what it is worth, I notice that my sore throat and shortness of breath are directly related to Bartonella. I tested positive for Lyme, Bart, Babesia and Erlichia, but the Lyme and Bart seem to cause the most issues.

Definitely check the coinfections.

Yes, I have, or have had all of those symptoms and more.

Hang in there! You will get better with treatment. [kiss]

Just curious. What labs are you now waiting for? And from which lab?

Yes, I have had most of these symptoms.

When my stiff neck/collarbone and shoulder act up, I can barely swallow when I am eating and definitely choke on liquids, mostly water.

This is my worst symptom yet and is driving me insane.

Hi there [Smile]

Yep same for me, going through the swallowing thing again now for the past week or so and that one is very scary.

You have to keep telling yourself that it will pass in time and I know how hard that is but you have to try it. [Smile]

I have had the swallowing issue for the past year. It comes and goes!!! Yes it i scary and it can hurt very bad! I agree that with treatment it should get better! It seems for me to be a neurological issue!!!

As far as the neck pain and muscle spasms I get weekly maraciane shots! They help a ton!!! They get in the tense, spasming muscles and anestatise (SP?) them so they will release! It is like night and day!!! I have my pain Dr. do it but I also know that Urgent Care Dr's can do it as well!!!

I am sorry you are going though this but I prey for you that this passes soon! Also really think about what I said about the Marcaine shots!!!! They are wonderful! There is numbing spray they spray on the skin first to numb the skin so you feel nothing!!! It dosen't get any easier than that!!!!

Take Care,
Onmyway

Last fall and winter I had a lot of swallowing issues, as if I couldn't coordinate the muscle in my throat to swallow, it was scary. That past and haven't had it much since. Hang in there.
