Cured? I wouldn't say that. It's an insidious disease. But feeling better, yes. I can walk pretty well and my thinking is better.

Forgot to say, that's with the Buhner protocol: Andrographis, resveratrol from polygonum cuspidatum, cat's claw, and a number of other herbs (including teasel tincture) that he recommends for various symptoms, all taken just as he suggests in his book Healing Lyme.
However, it's clear that his program doesn't work this well for everyone. And it remains to be seen whether symptoms will slowly come back as I continue to decrease the amounts of the herbs I'm taking.

I finished my lyme treatment 3 1/2 years ago. I am off meds, symptom-free, and enjoying my life--the same life I had before lyme disease.
For me, the key was getting to a doc who followed the Burrascano treatment guidelines.
I had lyme, babs, and bart. I was very sick for 5 years prior to diagnosis; but, looking back, probably had lyme at least 10 years.
I spent 2 years taking meds with lesser docs who didn't know enough to "cure" me. Then, went to the Burrascano doc and was done in 1 year. He used oral meds, supplements, and herbs. Required me to exercise, and everything else Burrascano requires. Read it in the Guidelines.
I have sent many people to the Burrascano-type docs since then. They all get well, except an alcoholic with ALS diagnosis (alcohol use is a guaranteed treatment failure per Burrascano). Usually takes 1 year, sometimes 2. So, that's why I'm so big on the Burrascano treatment guidelines.
Lot's of docs SAY they follow Burrascano, but you have to study the guidelines and decide for yourself if the doc REALLY does so.
That's my advice, if you want to lick this disease. Call your local support groups and ask for a doc that really follows Burrascano.

I have been taking abx since August but HBOT makes me feel almost normal again.
I wish I could afford to do a lot more sessions but think I'm going to stop this week.

My LLMD states that if we can get our immune systems back by taking lots of our supplements, and immune boosters you can speed up your recovery.
Her theory is that if your immune system is low, your body cannot fight off the attack by lyme.
I feel alot better than I did in May of this year. Still symptomatic, on abx and not "cured" yet, but really much improved.
I think everyone is different and my symptoms were mostly muscular/skeletal with some neuro.
However, long term lyme or really chronic lyme is alot more complicated that a recently diagnosed infection.

15 weeks of abx and I'm starting to feel better. I started going back to the Gym again. My symptoms are less, strength is returning - slowly. Just in these last two weeks I feel like I'm on the right track. Hope the rug doesn't get pulled out from under me!!
