hey folks-

the more i read, the more i am convinced metals are playing a large role in neuro-degenerative illness such as lyme. with me specifically and of course many of you.

my provoked dmsa urine test (2G) came back with extremely elevated mercury levels, nearing the highest they can be on the test. (doctors data)

now here are my questions for you all:

if you could copy and paste the info it would greatly aid me in narrowing down better ways of chelating the metal/s. thanks much.
btw, personally i am using 100mg dmsa every 3rd night with 20 chlorella pills nightly and algas NM 7 drops on the nights i take dmsa.

here are the questions:

what test did you use to determine your metal level/s? what was the result?

what chelating agent/s are you using to remove the substances?

what other agent/s are you using to remove toxins, etc, from the chelating process?

how many times a year do you re access your metal levels and which test do you use?

much thanks, feel free to add any other comments you feel may be of help as well.

derek

Somewhere Gigi recommends cilantro extract as the best thing that removes mercury, i think.

Derek just PM'ed you.
How to deal with metals?
Best way is to restore genetically impaired pathways?
I have to be gentle. I may try modfiilan or Limu--seaweed chelators.
IV glutathione can help.
Restore methylation pathways--then body can naturally shed metals.

I used Chemet. Might actually consider another cycle of it. Sucks however that it makes your pee smell like metal. It's supposed really effective though I haven't noticed a definite clinical change.

i forget to mention i also do IV glut 2g 1-3 x week but i do not feel that does much for the metals..

the dmsa, chlorella, and NM algas are helping but i am looking for a more efficient way of tackling the problem.

dmsa is known to stir up and redistribute metals but not so much eliminate them..

anyone else?

i am consdering OSR as well but do not know much about it or what it is used in combination with.

I too will be interested in this post. My LLMD just recommended Waiora which is a zeolite, since we have to go slow and gentle with me.

Detoxamin suppositories are also recommended, for lead.

How is someone supposed to open up their pathways?

chelating with amalgams is ok as long as you are going nice and easy and not using IV chelating agents. when IV chelation is implemented amalgams must be taken into consideration.

thanks for the info, i also am taking ALA.

2mg of dmsa IMO is not going to do anything but it definitley is the slow and safe way.

i take 100mg every 3rd night and it just helps me to feel better.

i do not believe dmsa is going to make you feel more sick, merely it may not be the most effective way to chelate.

it looks like there isnt a universally excepted way to chelate, huh?

very frustrating.

i will check out these links though, thanks

I agree with tosho. Although I think that Cutler seriously needs that chip knocked off his shoulder, the protocol does seem to focus on science and safety in chelating.

Cutler also quickly dismisses any other protocols you might suggest to him as unsafe or ineffective.
Smart guy, but tactless.

If you're strong enough, adapt Ron Hubbard's sauna/exercise/oil detox therapy. He was a nut but this therapy is valid and well thought out. 9/11 rescue workers have detoxed amazing crap with this therapy--black stuff will come out of their pores. I don't feel strong enough for it and I could go downtown to get it if I was! I can't imagine exercising vigorously! The oils and niacin are important--he understood circulation, and how oils transport lipophilic toxins out of the body.

I too have done Cutler's and do very well on low doses of DMSA. I am up to 100mg DMSA with 10 drops Algas every other night.

NO luck with the ALA as I cannot tolerate in any dose yet. Makes me feel like the world is going to end.

GIGI talked about some fabulous chleator of metals, can't remember the name or if it is even available here.?

I heard a professional pest control person on the radio who became very toxic from dealing with poisons every day and he detoxed using Ron Hubbard's sauna detox therapy and became a natural pest control person.

I talked to a member of CALDA once who went to a Scientology place in Arkansas to detox using normal saunas etc. She did saunas I think for 4 hours a day while there and found the program very helpful in her recovery and still uses saunas.

My old LLMD told me FIR sauna makes the lyme "bloom".

I am using Pekana Detox and Drainage and I think it helps.

Your old LLMD said infrared saunas can make Lyme "bloom?"

So did he say to avoid infrared saunas or just be careful?

I believe its a zeolite that Gigi recommends. I use chlorella for mercury-very safe, very good.

FIR Saunas remove metals
I have a friend who tested her metals level.....before and after repeated sauna sessions and her metal levels dropped.
