Well, after my fiasco with Bicillin and Medco, I decided to see if my sister could get me Bicillin from Mexico. She lives about 8 miles from Tijuana and has a good friend that goes down there several times per week.
Her friend found Bicillin 1.2 million units (the dry powder AND the water to mix with) for $3 each!! Now I just have to get the syringes (which I guess are pretty cheap).
If anyone is interested, PM me and I will send you the name of the pharmacy in Tijuana.
My insurance did end up approving the Bicillin again, but at $126 per month. Buying the shots on my own is only about $36 per month plus the syringes.

You will probably have ten people discourage you , but there are plenty here who did just what you are doing .
Others here used vet bicillin , which is CHEAP , to get well . It is the same product and pharmacy grade. My pharmacist has had patients try the route you are going also .
We are all beggars seeking bread here , some with far fewer resources than others.

Hi Wolf
Yep the meds in Mexico are cheap and Good- I am visiting El Paso and I went across the border last week and picked up assorted meds -
I have been doing this for years and the meds from mexico are made in the same factories as the US meds -just have labels in Spanish-
Also most of the meds in Mexico have the Same medical name as in the US - but have a (A) added to the end of the name --( Doxicyclinea )-Jay-

I have been told by a number of medical professionals whom I asked (because I was considering this option, and have several doctor/RN friends who do volunteer work in Mexico) that this same drug from Mexico is perfectly OK.

I only ever use the Generic Bicillin and found it better than bicillin although I have always got it from a pharmacy. Here in Europe (Not UK) you can buy the Generic Bicillin LA for 3-8 Euro's, and in South Africa for approx 99p.
My husband has tried them all and found the Spanish brand is the easiest to give and gives the hardest herx, but he is now well after his 30th shot. Its 8 Euro's for product, water, syring, neeedle.
Please PM me if you want the pharmacy details. they will take any international prescription by fax. I dont think its worth risking a countafeit product when you can get this for a few dollars from high street pharmacists

Please, show me one case where a mexican pharmacy was found selling counterfeit drugs. They are more reliable than U.S. pharmacies.
The reason for this is if you're going to produce counterfeit drugs you're obviously doing it for the money. And if you're going to make the most money possible you're going to sell it to the market with the highest drug costs...the U.S.
My grandpa got a counterfeit heart medicine twice from two different pharmacies here in the U.S., one was even a university pharmacy (this drug sells for $300 for a months supply here, in mexico $12) ...I think you see what I mean. Since he switched to ordering his drugs from mexico he's had no problems.

Well, I really am not concerned about this medication being counterfeit. First, injectable pencillin in Mexico is cheap. Actually, from what I read, it's cheap all over the world except for in the US. Most often counterfeit drugs are those that would actually make money (like Viagra, anti-depressants, etc.).
The person that bought this for me is actually a friend of my sister's. She owns a warehouse in Tijuana and the controller that runs her warehouse lives in Tijuana. She had him get the medication because he knows what the reputable pharmacies are and what are not. I guess he gets medication for her all the time.
Also, the Bicillin comes in the original container from the manufacturer. If you go to www.sandoz.com, you will see that they are a worldwide manufacturer/distributor of drugs. There is a lot number on the box and the same lot number on the vial. The vial is sealed with a rubberized stopper and a foil seal on top of that. The water to mix for injection comes in a glass ampule. I am an RN and know things to look for in injectable meds.... Also, the expiration on the Bicillin powder isn't until April 2009. By the way, this is the powder in a vial and like I said, a glass ampule of water to mix for injection.
Anyway, I'm just trying to help anyone in the same position. Like I said, PM me if you would like the name of the pharmacy.
