Has anyone ever asked their LLMD if it is ok to go off abx for a few days?
I'm trying EVERYTHING for yeast (Nystatin, oregano, caprylic, probiotics)and still my gut is soooo upset. I mistakenly started taking amoxy for a tooth ache in addition to the mino, plaquenil, and biaxin. I didn't know which one to stop so I took them all for a few days...
Also, I have been cooped up herxing like crazy for months and want to join the land of the living for a few days drug free.
Will going off abx to treat yeast and travel set me back or is a short amount of time ok? Have others felt better with a small break?
Thank you for your thoughts! Mandy

I just took my first break from anti's last month...for a whole MONTH!!!
IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! I felt so ALIVE!! I felt HAPPY!! JOYFUL! and healthy!!! I did have some complaints but NOTHING like what I have been feeling!!!!
I was always afraid to stop thinking that it would set me back...
I got way too toxic-- and had to- and it was grreat!!
I feel it told the cyst forms it was ok to come out- and now I am back on anti's and having quit a bit of herxing, where before I was kinda at a plateau...
i'd say go for it- but of course check with your LLMD first...
have fun feeling ALIVE!!!!
smiles and hugs...Fawne

It would take longer than a few days to get them out of your system. I am taking a 2 month break from them now. I am on Malarone only at this time.

Why don't you try Bicillin shots so the abx aren't going through your GI system. Biaxin stays in your for a few days, i think the others clear quicker.

WIld Condor- Good suggestion, I'm actually starting the bicillin shots in the next few weeks!
