Sorry, Haven't had it happen, but I have severe swallowing issues, so I take one pill at a time with A LOT of water. Sounds painful though, take care, Ocean --------------------http://www.healingfromlymedisease.blogspot.com/ Sick since 1996...Diagnosed 10/2008 IgM:23-25 IND, 31+++, 39 IND, 41 +++ IgG: 31 IND, 41++, 58+

I've had it happen on occasion, and it is scary the first time! Mine happened when I swollowed it with seltzer water! That was stupid on my part. But I do have occasional problems with my esophogus feeling like it's closed much smaller than normal, and not allowing the pills to go down freely. And my daughter has had it where she cannot even swallow water! It's one of the lyme and co. symptoms for some. Some people suggest taking them with olive oil...I haven't tried it, but it many be helpful on those occasions. lymeparfait

UGH!!! I always eat something after taking pills. Makes it go down. Otherwise feels like something is stuck in my throat. -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!

Next time you have blood labs drawn request thyroid ones- Free T3, Free T4, reverse T3, Tpo, Tbo, etc. Maybe even a thyroid ultrasound. The development of hashi's was one of those things that came about for me with the lyme. I would bet many others unknowingly have it also. Your description is a symptom of thyroid enlargement- just so you know

Shelly, Your mailbox is full. Try this. Take a pill. Put it in mouth. Take a sip of water. Bend head forward then backward and swallow pill. If it feels "stuck" take another large sip of water, Tuck your chin as tight as you can to your chest and swallow the water hard. If you notice you are weaker on one side then turn head to that side, tuck chin and swallow hard. Hugs, Geneal
