My Mepron is not longer killing any babesia, yet I know I still have some left in me.....it is between adding Bactrim or doubling the Mepron for now....

Did anybody see an improvement in BABESIA treatment by adding Bactrim to your Mepron?

(I am already taking Artemisinin too, as well as Zithromax...I have just plateaued but know I still have babesia)

Thanks!

I saw excellent results once I added bactrim to mepron/biaxin. It definitely pushed me into a new level of healing.

I agree with Jay- the herx was really bad. i think for me it may have been a bart herx I was feeling when I added bactrim.

I am on Bactrim with the Mepron.

I haven't been on the Mperon very long. I've been on the Bactrim for almost three months now. And just added the Mepron in.

The Mepron seems to really be helping. Since starting it, I've had nearly SIX good days, feeling almost normal even. Except a few of those days in the beginning were hard because of the very painful/stiff neck it seemed to give me. Now, the stiff neck is much better and I've been feeling better. Last night I didn't feel as good as I have been in the past few days though.

In any event, it does seem like the Mepron is helping quite a bit. Not sure if it's because I'm on Bactrim too or not though.

Wow, I only take 1 Bactrim DS a day. I was doing two for a while on accident because I misread the docs instructions and thought it said 2 a day. Yeah, I was having some bad herxes from that. Felt awful with 2 Bactrim a day. I couldn't even imagine what 4 would do. [Eek!]

Seems I'm doing fine with 1 Bactrim DS a day and the Mepron though.

Bactrim works very well for me.
I don't know what it's killing, but it's doing something that Rocephin or minocycline can't do.
