"Because there is laboratory evidence that tetracyclines may inhibit the effect of Flagyl, this class of medication should not be used in these two- and three-drug regimens."
I took this right out of The advanced topics in lyme disease pdf by JOSEPH J. BURRASCANO JR., M.D.
The question is Why do alot of people on here mix tetracyclines with flagyl? Like Doxy and flagyl???

Burrascano 's treatment protocol is very good. He is one of the pioneers of long term antibiotics for chronic Lyme. There is one thing I wonder about; the warning he & others give on tetracycline interfering with flagyl seems to be based on one anecdotal report of one elderly man's treatment failure- not on studies or very many anecdotes.

in the title you write flagyl may inhibit the effect of tetra's. And in the post you write tetra's may inhibit the effects of flagyl. Which is right?
I have actually had some thoughts on this myself before your post(based on own exp), so please reply.
