My friend and I both have Lyme.

We plan to see Dr. W in Germany.

She has a port in her chest because she used to get IV's there.

Can it be used by Dr. W or must it be removed for the Bionic 880 to be used successfully?

Do you know how to access the port yourself? In that case you would need to bring dressing change kits as well as supplies for accessing and flushes.

I would not count on the nurses at his clinic to know how to access a port and certainly if they did not have experience I would not let them touch the port. But, it would be easier to get your iv's through your port instead of getting poked each time. Also, I would want to know what was in the iv's and if they are preservative free and if they are mixed in a sterile, clean enviroment.

Do you have difficult veins? Are you done getting iv treatments? Or will you have more iv abx treatments later?
