My Mom is having arthritis type pain in her hands since starting Doxy 3 weeks ago for lyme. She also feels very weak and no longer can exercise like she did prior to starting Doxy. Her balance is off now as well and she cannot do yoga poses that she was able to do prior to starting treatment.

Do you think the arthritis and the muscle weakness and balance issues could be from the Doxy or is more likely a herx?

Did you experience this on Doxy or on other abx used to treat lyme?

Thanks,

tickbattler

I personally have not started my doxy yet so I may not be of much help, but ill try. Im sure someone else will be along to help more.

This may be a herx.

Here is some infor just scroll down to find info for HERX, or search the forum using key words such as doxycycline, doxy, doxy herx, herx, doxycycline herx, etc.
